Happy Birthday Saphyre

saphyres-14th-birthday-023-mediumFriday night got back from a business meeting in Sierra Vista just in time to take 2 of my girls out to dinner and a movie. We started the night at Bucca di Beppo (never a normal portion) where I was able to embarrass Saphyre by signing (shouting) Happy Birthday louder than anyone in the restaurant.

Next it was off to the Tempe Center for the Arts (amazing place) to watch an advanced screening of Nascar Angles (watch for it) where they featured Tempe based Childsplay theatre and we got to meet the founders of Purcell Tire & Rubber Company.

After it was a typical M&M date with Saphyre tagging along for coffee and a movie at the Market Place, Saphyre picked and we all enjoyed the new Harry Potter movie where the audience was sort of an anomaly, mostly college D&D playing dudes and a couple of date night kids but needless to say the audience was awkward at best, oh the mid 30′s guy with long hair who likely still lives at Mom’s was totally scary!

So Happy B-Day Saphyre hope you had fun!

Good Luck Michelle !

wcopa-photo-shoot-002Just got back from LA dropping off Miss M at the WCOPA’s (World Championship of Performing Arts) yea I didn’t know either… but this thing is HUGE, hundreds of participants from all over the world competing for scholarships and most important time in front of agents, managers, producers and networks in hopes of being discovered and getting the BIG BREAK!

This is incredibly exclusive, contestants are hand picked to attend so anyone there has already made it to a very high level and making an impression here can lead to some amazing opportunities down the line!

Good Luck Babe – Kick some acting ASS!

Ninja Ride Weekend

web3I woke up Friday morning expecting a conference call and a typical work day and found that we actually had the day off so I took full advantage!

I took the new ride up to Wickenburg (about 60 miles NW of Phoenix) since I’d never been there, had lunch and came home.

The bike is AMAZING, I now understand why everyone has raved about the 2009 ZX-6R, it handles like a dream, is super responsive, has more power than most riders will ever be able to tame and is actually comfortable enough to be in the saddle on for an hour without cramping or major pains like my old SV.

On the road up I was doing about 75 when I saw 2 bikes in my 6, I moved right for them to pass and when I looked over the first bike was a chick on a yellow SV just like the one I traded in and the guy was on a gray Honda CBR. They were both moving so for fun I downshifted and gave the throttle a little twist, went from 75 to 95 in less than 2 seconds before I noticed that I really didn’t want or need to be in their club. The rest of the ride was fantastic, total miles about 145 round trip or 1 tank of gas.

web2The next morning (Saturday the 4th) I woke up with the intention of rubbing the chicken strips off my tires so I hit South Mountain again, this is where the Ninja excels, fantastic cornering, smooth throttle and most important, a LOT of looks once at the top of the hill. The bike is sexy, the Monster Edition gets a lot of attention from both people in cars and people walking by. I caught a half dozen people checking out the bike while it was parked and I was taking pics from the summit.

Overall the perfect weekend!
